edits are bit too rough for me.. they don't add anything to the pictures..

Can you elaborate more, Rough? How so? That doesn't make any sense!!! Unless you blow these right up you won't see anything they were edited at 200% and higher

top picture: half in color half in black and white
Next: this one looks good
next: just has an odd/dark/blue look
next: light blue around each person
next: blue tint on an angle on the bottom of the picture

Scott I am lost you said the photo editing was to ROUGH I asked you to elaborate and you have failed to do so.

If you want to comment on my photographs make it constructive!!!

Bring some encouragement to the table not just a case of the blind leading the blind.

For the record the first picture is one of my favorites. Love the different perspective. You want to make it in this business you have to be different from the next guy.

Sorry.. you just asked what I saw differently in images so I listed what I was able to see.

I think the idea with editing photos is to nicely blend an edit with the actual picture.. having a diaganol blue tint added to the image I think really takes away from a nice picture.

experimenting is great, and not every result is good. but i'm glad you show it and are open for feedback. i agree with scott that it's not always adding to the picture. i like 2 and 3, bit not a big fan of 5. there's no transition and the line between color and B&W looks randomly chosen.
but certainly keep playing and trying! by the time you finish school you'll need to have your own style: a 'McSplatty' signature that is both appealing to the public and recognisable. that's when the money can start rolling!
good luck!
